The final match of the regular season pitted Brauhaus against Solow. In a reschedule of a reschedule (due to weather), the teams were able to finally meet at Palumbo on the Thursday night before the playoffs. As a win would determine Brauhaus’ playoff fate, the game held some importance. Both teams were able to field a full squad, with Solow getting their 10th player a few mins after kickoff. The first half was back and forth with chances on both ends. Brauhaus opened the scoring with a nice goal from Grey Rumain. Brauhaus up 1-0 at the half.
2nd half was even tighter. Solow got the goal they deserved to equalize around the 50th minute through a shot from Craig Comisar. Needing a win, Brauhaus needed to dig deep now. The response was quick from the Haus and JP gave them back the lead a few mins later. The last 25 mins was a maelstrom of chances, great saves (on both sides) and near misses as Solow gave it their all to tie the game up. The Brauhaus defense held strong though and the final whistle blew. As a reward for playing their butts of for 90 mins, Brauhaus and Solow get a day off before they meet again on Saturday in the semis. Players from both teams will be seen around town at their spa appointments today.
