Stadium Pizza vs Solow, Isbell & Palladino

Stadium played with 10 at Penn, which is always tough. After three losses SIP needed the points and couldn’t afford to be charitable. Stadium gave SIP a good fight though, and it was a good game even though the scoreline was lopsided. SIP scored 3 in the first half, and then 3 more in the second. SIP’s goal scorers were Justin Melter, Andy Hallman, Brandon Pierce, Mark Comerota, Bob Bustin and Greg Katz.

Brauhaus Schmitz vs New Wave Cafe

Old “friends” Brauhaus and New Wave met at Penn on a lovely autumn evening.  After the 0-0 thriller they put up 2 weeks ago, fans couldn’t wait to get into the stadium to see these 2 offensive powerhouses light up the scoreboard again.  New Wave had only 1 sub while Brauhaus had the luxury of 2 subs.  This gave Brauhaus captains Mark and Josh the challenge of deciding not only who to sub out first (Papi), but also who to sub out 2nd (can we sub out Papi again?).  The first have was an even affair with both teams getting good chances, but Meeker and Josh standing tall in net.  While Kim Malecki was making the Brauhaus midfield look like they were standing in concrete, Ricky John was driving possession for the Hausers giving a jolt of energy from the back.  First half ended 0-0 (shocker).

The 2nd half was a bit more lively with Brauhaus coming out strong with attacks from Paul Puma and Nello, and dangerous drives forward from midfielders Matt Truong and Jay Novak.  The Waves played captain Greg in a more central position which generated some offensive juice, while Andrea and KC held down the midfield.  Brauhauswere finally able to break through off a corner from Puma that Andrew headed in.  The Hausers doubled their lead through a nice cross from Andrew which Mohammad finished in the back of the net.  New Wave kept the pressure on though and earned a PK in the box late in the game.  KC buried it in the top corner.  KC should take more penalties.  Unfortunately time ran out and the game ended 2-1 to Haus.  All human and canine fans were entertained.
